Apple Device Support Exam (SUP-2026) Preparation for iOS 26 and macOS 26 Tahoe
For Students attending a Class:
Each student will need a setup with two (2) devices. One device may be a Mac or iPad, while the other must be a Mac with the correct software (and version) being taught in the course already installed. This setup will allow students to view their eBook on one device and complete support exercises on the Mac.
Objectives
Upon completion of the macOS Tahoe course, students will:
● Obtain a solid foundation in supporting Apple devices, from basic setup to advanced troubleshooting techniques.
● Be fully prepared to take and pass the Apple Device Support exam, earning the Apple Certified Professional certification badge.
● Gain practical experience through labs and real-world scenarios, acquiring hands-on experience that mirrors the challenges faced in support roles.
● Develop the ability to quickly and efficiently resolve the most common technical issues with Apple devices such as iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

Part 1: Installation and Configuration
- Update, upgrade, and reinstall macOS Tahoe
- Create bootable installers
- Set up and configure macOS (initial setup, Apple ID)
- Use the Terminal (CLI basics, file navigation, permissions)
- Use macOS Recovery (reinstall OS, Disk Utility, restore backups)
Part 2: User Accounts
- Manage user accounts (admin, standard, guest)
